Nordwest Water Pump

Message par Gaylord »

Dear all,
Please forgive me for not being able to write this enquiry in French, sorry !
In the UK i cannot get spare parts for the Gilera nordwest water pump and i need some help please.
I notice from the website that the parts required are listed but i do not really understand what parts are required for the repair.
Would it be possible please, if someone can understand my english, to advise on the part numbers for the bearing and ceramic thrust disc and where to order them from ?
It seems that it may be a place in Nancy ?
Do they have a website please ?
Best Regards
Gaylord

We have these parts.
But needed parts depends of your own water pump.
And the way you deposit it from the bike and the way you dismount pump's elements.
If evrything is done correctly yous just need 2 ball bearings 6001-2rsC3 ht22, an new ceramics.
For the bearing, 6001 means 28 12 8mm.
2RS means they are fitted with seals on both sides = LLU on NTN bearings
C3 means able for high RPM and working high temp.
HT 22 is the name of high temp grease on SKF bearings.

references I have for ceramics are
-07431201500 CYCL 14x26x5
and
-AT12A 12x24x13
You need both of them.
These parts are industrial parts, not specific for Gilera and you can find 'em in your neighbourhood.

For dismounting I recommand the use of an extractor for the pulley.
Otherwise, we do restore pumps for members of the club.

Thank you very much for the reply, i appreciate your efforts and i understand the explanantion.
So while i am looking for the parts could i ask please the price of the repair/exchange that the "club" charges for the water pump ?
Also would i need to pay the Euro 50 to join the club to do the repair in France ?
Many thanks
Stephen

Thanks for taking the time to respond to my enquiry, it is much appreciated.
I may have posted this reply earlier so sorry for the duplication
Please could you advise the price to send the waterpump to France for refurbishment.
Also would i have to pay the joining fee of Euro 50 before i could ask for this work to be done ?
Thanks again

Not 50. 30!! yes, you must.
We changed it last year, but the website is not up to date...
Simple work is 80€ but if we need to change some parts like pulley or somthing else it can be more.
I need at least good photos to answer to you.
We can also sell you ball bearings and ceramics, making an extractor is quite simple.

Can you find out who was the guy in Italy?
I think I could know him.
You should have sent to us to do that job, it may have be done better...

If we don't find a way to recover your pump we should sell you a new pump.

Hi Djef,

Have you tried your chance at any water pump/ industrial parts retailer?

This kind of rubber seals and bearing are more likely to be standarts on other kind of water pumps; wathever it is used for.
You also need to find the white ceramic spacer (wich is not a spacer but slippery part made to last) in order to start with a fresh rebuilt water pump.
